Upcoming bands which register at www.frequency.at by 1 July 2009 will get a unique chance. An active community voting decides which winner will be in the limelight of the Frequency Festival. On three days, from 20 to 22 August 2009, 100 international acts will be on stage in Green Park/ St. Pölten. The Open Stage is reserved for newcomers.
The winners selected by the frequency.at community will get more exposure at the festival by playing as the opening act on one of the OpenAir stages. The winner will receive first rate assistance for launching their career:
- an “All Eyes on“ special as first stage on MTV
- an hour “hosted by…OpenStage winning band“ on goTV
- and professional coaching in the areas performance,show and music, exclusively by Universal Music

No expert jury, but solely the festival community decides who makes it and will play at the festival as Line Up.”
Moreover, the winning bands will receive premium mobile phones by Sony Ericsson.
Orange and music have belonged together for years. In the course of its music focus, the company also supports the biggest Austrian musical festivals in summer 2009: FM4 Frequency, Nuke, Lovely Days und Nova Rock.
