Effective immediately: Roaming for ONE customer also in the USA

- ONE concludes roaming agreement with US network operator Western Wireless/VoiceStream
- Plus: Multi-band rental handsets for ONE customers

The contract with the American network operator Western Wireless/VoiceStream is now complete. More roaming contracts with American partners will follow over the coming months.

Moreover, ONE is making it easy for customers to call mobile in the USA: In co-operation with the British company Cellhire, ONE offers its customers multi-band rental handsets which are apt for the US standard GSM 1900. One call is enough, and the multi-band phone will be delivered to your hotel in the USA or your home address in Austria on the next working day. Once you have inserted your ONE SIM card, you can make calls at home and abroad. Before catching your flight back, you return the rented equipment in a special courier box.

For those areas in the USA where ONE does not yet have a contract with a roaming partner, ONE and Cellhire offer a simple alternative: at no additional cost, ONE customers can not only get a rental handset from Cellhire, but also a SIM card of the British network operator Vodafone with which US-wide roaming is possible. With this solution, the ONE customer purchases airtime from Cellhire at a price of 25 cents per unit. However, this solution will no longer be necessary in half a year at the latest: By then, ONE will have contracts with roaming partners all over the USA.

Costs are transparent and easy to understand

Roaming with Western Wireless/VoiceStream:

- For outgoing national calls within the USA (except for Alaska and Hawaii):

ATS 10.92 flat rate

- For calls from the USA to Austria:

ATS 27.29 flat rate

- For incoming calls from Austria while in the US:

ATS 7.50 for post-paid customers and
ATS 10.- for TAKE ONE customers

Costs for the rental service:

- Multi-band handset:
- Delivery in the USA (except for Alaska and Hawaii) or in Austria, or pick-up within the US: free of charge.
- Rental costs are simply debited to the customer’s credit card.
