ONE, Austria’s most modern mobile telephony provider is approaching the new millennium with fully tested IT systems: a comprehensive Y2K programme has been run in all areas of the company over the past ten months, and a total of ATS 12 million has been invested in the project. A team of 20 makes sure that customers and shareholders will be well taken care of also at the turn of the millennium.

For ONE is the first mobile telephony provider in Austria to offer a prepaid handset with an integrated stereo radio. “The SAGEM MC 830 FM fully meets the needs of our mobile society,” Lars P. You can make mobile phone calls in crystal clear GSM-1800 quality and listen to the radio by using headsets with an integrated antenna – whether you are out skating or mountain-biking, on your way to the office, or on a stroll through town.

Innovative and simple: SMS written faster in the future

The radio is operated simply via menu settings, headsets with an integrated antenna provide perfect listening comfort. Volume and frequency are adjusted by means of rocker buttons. If a call arrives while one is listening to the radio, the radio switches off automatically and the call can be answered. This dual-band handset provides not only up to 80 hours standby time and up to three hours speaking time, but also alarm function and vibra-call. Moreover, the TAKE ONE Radio Phone offers a special service to SMS users: the new function T9 makes it clearly easier to write text messages. While so far one had to press the same button up to four times to reach certain letters, T9 can now recognise which word one wants to write, based on certain letter combinations. Therefore, it is enough to press the respective buttons only once.
