ONE will present the VPN Manager at the IF@BO, which will be available from mid-September. VPN (Virtual Private Network) customers can thus administer their VPN subscribers themselves via the ONE Cockpit, i.e. names, extensions, access profiles etc. A telephone directory and access to up-to-date company information is available to subscribers via Internet as well as SMS.
With the VPN Manager, ONE offers a new service that can be used easily and simplifies making calls in a company`s Virtual Private Network. ONE Chief Commercial Officer Christian Czech: "With the VPN Manager, we do not only simplify our customers` administrative processes, but with additional services also offer new means of communication within the company to them."
Customer-friendly services
The VPN Manager comprises a number of additional services. Under the heading oneServices a new menu item is available to all VPN subscribers. This menu item may be named by customers themselves (e.g. "Company XY Manager"). This item has three submenus comprising a telephone directory, the heading "News" and various important company numbers to be determined by the respective customer (e.g. the switchboard).
- Telephone directory for VPN subscribers
Each subscriber may access the directory via the ONE Cockpit on www.one.at. VPN subscribers may also search for other subscribers` names, phone numbers and short dial numbers. They may also retrieve information from the directory by SMS irrespective of where they are.
- News
A company specific message to be retrieved by each VPN subscriber by SMS may also be saved via the VPN Manager. For instance the cafeteria menu for the day.
- VPN changes
The customer may also manage the Virtual Private Network settings himself via the ONE Cockpit. He may for instance enter, change or delete new names, new short dial numbers, access profiles or business associates (by name, extension and number).
Automatic access, no installation fee
The VPN Manager is available automatically to each ONE VPN customer in the ONE Cockpit. Thus, no additional costs are incurred for customers. SMS requests within the framework of the VPN network cost ATS 1,- each.
