BEST ONE the innovative one tariff scheme under attack from mobilkom Austria

ONE is confronted with a lawsuit for an injunction including a motion for a temporary restraining order against the tariff scheme Best ONE by Mobilkom Austria.

With "Best ONE“ ONE launched the first intelligent pricing scheme in April 2002. Best ONE adjusts to the customer`s phone behaviour on a monthly basis, i.e. in as the customer makes few calls, he/she pays a low basic monthly fee. In case the customer makes many calls, he/she pays low airtime fees. Basic monthly and airtime fees are billed afterwards on a monthly basis.

Until the end of October 2002 ONE intensively presented the tariff scheme Best ONE on the market in the course of an advertising campaign and pointed out that BEST ONE was the optimum tariff scheme for many customers due to the 4-stage model and moreover constituted the most inexpensive offer in comparison to Austrian competitors. Even though the tariff has not been actively advertised since October this year by ONE, Mobilkom Austria has now filed a lawsuit for an injunction as well as a motion for a temporary restraining order against this statement with a two months` delay. Previously Mobilkom Austria has already lost two other lawsuits against ONE.
