ONE Smart Solutions - Future, Trends, Innovation

Since its nation-wide launch in 1998 ONE has been renowned for its many new ideas. Many things have changed since then. However, one thing has not changed: the idea to continuously expand the opportunities for customers. With ONE Smart Solutions: the focus is on smart product ideas, innovative approaches to solutions and interesting business solutions, usability and customer benefit. Effective immediately ONE expands the existing company philosophy by this substantial added value.

Smart Solutions energise the ONE company philosophy "Simple, reliable, innovative. And with a smile" and serve as the motto for product development and the creation of new solutions. "Simple" means that ONE Smart Solutions are easy to get and handle: for example in the form of intelligent applications such as the #-key by means of which ONE customers can return calls at the touch of a button directly from the voicemail box. "Reliable" with regard to smart ONE solutions means they work any time, any place. ONE Mobile Office Easy enables customers to mobile work outside the office. And the innovation of ONE Smart solutions manifests itself by generating real advantages for ONE customers. For example in the form of Best ONE, the first tariff scheme which automatically adjusts to the calling behaviour of customers.

ONE Smart Space

The fact that the company does not limit itself to classical mobile communication or purely technically-oriented solutions also manifests itself that ONE as a future-oriented company also creates future-oriented projects such as e.g. ONE Smart Space. At the end of January the company presented the so-called Think Tank and Future Lab to the public. In about 400m2 of space in the centre of Vienna continuously smart solutions and prototypes are being developed which both make the lives of mobile users much easier and improve them. The prototypes are concerned with progressive products and applications ensuring opportunities and the (mobile) freedom of movement of ONE customers.

A good example of one of this smart prototypes is the purse for men MHT01 developed by the department Future ONE in co-operation with designers within the framework of an idea competition. Five young Austrian designers were invited to join in a competition to creatively and innovatively resolve the acute lack of space problem of modern managers. Wanted was the manager`s purse of the future providing space for PDA, mobile phone, key ring, wallet etc. without continuing to widen the pockets of jacket & Co.

As platform we pursue the objective of creating a network of national and international partners in these sectors."

Another example of the creative product development process at ONE is the co-operation with the internationally renowned idea workshop Ideo. The company based both in London and Palo Alto, responsible also for developing the computer mouse or the changing rooms in the Prada Megastore in New York, ONE has product development workshops for the purpose of finding new approaches for smart solutions together with the ONE managers.

TAKE ONE new and ONE Mobile Office Easy

The first concrete examples of this new positioning are the two product ideas TAKE ONE new and ONE Mobile Office Easy. The first pre-paid tariff scheme with decreasing rates per minute dispenses with peak and off-Peak periods. TAKE ONE is optimally suited for the frequent callers among pre-paid users. The first two minutes of a call are charged at € 0.40 and after two minutes the ONE customer can make calls at each and every time of the day at € 0.20 to all networks."With the new TAKE ONE we are the first provider in Austria to offer pre-paid customers such a flexible and intelligent tariff model. For our customer this means they no longer have to think when, how long and where to they make calls. The tariff forms an optimum alternative for all frequent pre-paid callers who make long calls as they no longer form a cost problem", explains Christian Czech, CCO at ONE.

What TAKE ONE new promises to pre-paid customers, ONE Mobile Office Easy delivers for business customers. This intelligent solution for small and medium-sized companies without IT infrastructure means absolute freedom in mobile work: sending e-mails, managing appointments, contacts, to-do-lists and files - all this becomes possible no matter where you currently are. In this regard, the focus in advertising is also on verifying Smart Solutions. ONE CCO Christian Czech: "With ONE Mobile Office Easy we once again proved that small and medium-sized enterprises at ONE get solutions they actually need. Be it ONE Smart SIM, the first mobile office industry-specific solution, ONE Mobile Makler (ONE Mobile Real Estate Agent) or ONE Data Optimizer, ONE may not always be first, but the smartest."
