ONE Data Optimizer: Even Faster Mobile Internet Access

• Connection optimising and data compression tool for ONE GPRS and ONE High Speed Data (HSCSD)

On the occasion of the exponet 2003, ONE presented a new data compression tool to further optimise the speed in mobile data traffic. As of 27 May 2003 all ONE GPRS customers may automatically use the compression tool component integrated into the ONE network. For all ONE customers requiring more performance, ONE offers the Data Optimizer Software as free download until 30 September at www.one.at.

With the ONE Data Optimizer the speed of mobile data connections is quadrupled. “In order to be able to offer the best performance in modern data communication, we provide this additional tool for our customers until the end of September,“ explains ONE CCO Christian Czech. ONE GPRS customers may use the ONE Data Optimizer basic version integrated into the network structure without having to become active in any way. For customers wishing to use the ONE Data Optimizer on PC/laptop or PDA via ONE High Speed Data (HSCSD) or with additional features via GPRS, the software is available as free download at www.one.at/optimizer (description in german).

As of 27 May automatically available for ONE GPRS customers

The basic version of the ONE Data Optimizer for GPRS will be automatically available as of 27 May 2003. Thus surfing the Internet at up to twice the speed becomes possible. When ONE GPRS for Internet access is used for the first time, a pop-up window appears, where the desired settings may be entered. These settings are then saved and may be changed any time required.

For up to four times the connection speed and additional features such as for instance partial content blocking (of audio, animation or applications etc.), a client software for PC/laptop and PDAs is available for free download at www.one.at/optimizer (description in german) until 30 September and may be used for ONE GPRS and ONE High Speed Data (HSCSD) connections.
