Effective immediately stickers with the winning text of the Caritas text message competition are available in all Austrian ONE Worlds. Each sticker costs € 1,- and the proceeds entirely go to the Philips student fund of Caritas, which assists school children attending required schooling from socially disadvantaged families in all of Austria. For every sticker sold, ONE contributes another euro. A total of 3,000 students from comprehensive and grammar schools have responded to the call and sent their ideas on the topic of “poverty“ in autumn packaged into 160 characters by either text message or post.

The winning text is available in all ONE Worlds effective immediately for € 1 . Be it on the satchel, books or note books, the stickers can be used in many ways.
“Many handsets at ONE cost € 39 or 99 . The missing euro to a round sum is worth twice as much when a sticker is being bought “, says Florian Pollack, company spokesman of ONE because ONE contributes another euro for each sticker bought “. Total proceeds go to the Philips student fund of Caritas, which has already been able to help roughly 3,000 children since 2003.
3,000 pupils participated in the text message competition
3,000 pupils in all of Austria responded in the course of this competition to reflect upon poverty. They packed their thoughts into 160 characters, which they then submitted either by text message or by post. ONE bore the costs for installing the application as well as submitting text messages from all Austrian mobile telephony networks and paid 30 cent per entry to the Philips student fund of Caritas.
