ONE at the ITnT 2006: Mobile Business Solutions

The focus of ONE’s participation in the ITnT trade show has been placed on mobile business. The exhibitor profile ranges from the mobile branch exchange to mobile working, mobile push e-mail to customised machine-to-machine solutions tailored to the customer’s requirements.

The topic of mobile working is becoming more and more important for Austrian small and medium-sized companies. This became apparent from a survey conducted by ONE in summer 2005 : As many as 50 percent of Austrian companies are using smartphones, laptops and PDAs also for mobile data transmission. The most frequently used applications are those used for the mobile sending and receiving of e-mails as well as surfing the internet. More than one in five companies without mobile data transfer are already interested in this subject. This is only one reason why the focus of ONE’s participation in the ITnT has been placed on mobile business.

Mobile branch exchange
In April 2005 ONE launched the first mobile branch exchange of Austria. More than 100 customers already use this affordable and flexible alternative to the fixed line. The fees payable to date for forwarding fixed line calls to company mobile phones as well as expensive purchasing and maintenance costs are dispensed with. The company continues to be available on the existing fixed line number. With the PC and the user-friendly switching software all the relevant functions of a common fixed line solution are available. Apart from a mobile phone only a PC with broadband access is necessary.

Outlook on the mobile phone (for companies without their own e-mail server)
Effective March 2006 ONE in cooperation with Microsoft and the internet provider EUnet, Outlook is available on the mobile phone for companies without their own Exchange Server. This product bundle comprises Hosted Exchange by the company EUnet, devices with Windows Mobile interface including push e-mail, calendar and contacts as well as a data package. All components are being activated via the ONE Worlds. The packages are available starting from one subscriber including a data volume from Euro 9.80 (excluding VAT).

ONE Mobile Office - The office any time, any place
Nowadays access to the company network any time, any place forms an integral part of flexible companies. Being able to access the intranet, mobile use of Outlook – also sending and receiving e-mails, coordinating appointments and managing to-do lists – saves employees a lot of time and the company a lot of money. All this becomes possible with ONE Mobile Office. ONE Mobile Office comes in many shapes:

ONE Mobile Office Exchange (for companies with their own e-mail server):
With ONE Mobile Office Exchange employees access Microsoft Outlook files on the road. Above all, the synchronisation function enables them to synchronise their data between Microsoft Exchange and smartphone in an easy, fast and convenient manner. ONE also offers the mobile office for companies working with Lotus Domino.

ONE Mobile Office Access:
ONE Mobile Office Access enables mobile access to all company data and applications in the company network. It offers a customised IP VPN solution, which is being integrated in cooperation with ONE specialists and competent ONE partners. Three different technical solutions can be selected from – depending on the existing IT infrastructure, company size and customer requirements. The costs vary depending on the existing IT infrastructure.

Mobile Broadband
For customers who also want to be able to surf the internet outside the office, with the UMTS-enabled data card Novatel Merlin U630 (Apple-enabled), ONE has the optimum broadband solution in store. For the use of UMTS and GPRS, ONE offers three UMTS data card tariffs, which include 100 MB, 500 MB or 1 Gigabyte respectively at a monthly package price of € 10,-, € 35,- or € 55,- .
For small and medium-sized companies and corporates, ONE offers a package for the entire company with the ONE Corporate Data tariff. The data volume can be used by all authorised employees. The settlement of the data package to the byte warrants saving costs and efficient use of the data volume.
