“We are pleased that Orange was not only the first Austrian operator to sell the new iPhone 3G last summer, but as of 1 February currently offers the premium mobile phone at the best value for money in all of Austria“, says Sabine Bauer, Orange CCO.
With the iPhone bundle customers have 100 free text messages, 3 GB data volume per month for surfing, mobile e-mailing and many other services at their disposal.
Mobile e-mail is available for all Hello Europe post-paid customers for six months free of charge.
With a 16 Gigabyte storage the iPhone 3G combined with the “Hello Europe SMS“ tariff plan and the iPhone bundle costs only 179 Euro (compared to 229 Euro to date).
Apart from free activation available until 14 February, new customers may also take their phone number with them free of charge when they join Orange.
The iPhone 3G is the first Apple mobile phone supporting data transfer by means of WLAN, UMTS and HSDPA. The device automatically picks the fastest network available. Videos, e-mails or other data can consequently be downloaded much faster with the iPhone 3G than with the previous model as the 3G edition has a transmission rate of up to 7.2 Mbit/s.
The mobile phone unites three products in one: an even flatter design, a widescreen-iPod as well as an integrated modem for e-mails and fast surfing and doing research on the web. An additional GPS module also enables mobile phone navigation.
